November Community Newsletter

 Hello 3437 Community Gardeners!

Thank you for joining the community garden this summer! We are thankful for everyone who was part of the gardening community! If the snow melts ;) we ask that everyone cleans out their garden plot before winter is here to stay. If the organic matter from your plot is longer than 6" and has a width greater than1" we ask that you place it on the garden walk way, NOT in the compost bin.  If the organic matter is smaller than the size explained above it can go in the compost bins.  We ask if someone has placed larger mater in the bin please remove it and place it in the garden walk way.

If you are not able to clean out your plot this fall we ask that you return early next spring, before May 1, 2021 and clean it out, honoring a new gardener for summer 2023!    If you plan on returning next year and want the same plot than your garden matter will be excited to see you in summer 2023!

Though it may feel like the growing season is over kale doesn't mind this early cold weather so it should be hardy for a bit longer! Yummy fresh greens after a snow sprinkle!

We are looking for volunteers to help shovel the snow in front of the garden this winter. If you are interested connect with us by email, text or call. Surprises are welcome after a snow fall!  Send us a text msg. we'll come with a shovel and a warm cup of coffee!

Thank you for supporting the 3437 Community Garden!

Next year we will be doing all our our communication on this blog. We hope everyone stays in touch! Keep an eye on your email in March 2021 for a blog about returning and our updated garden plot as we welcome new gardeners! You will have to respond to this blog by text, call or email if you are retuning with a plot request.

If you have any questions feel free to reach to us by text, call or email.
