Today April 29th and Tuesday May 1st we will work on:
* cleaning up the perennials under the two silver maples. Removing leaves and cutting back last years growth and placing behind the raspberries. We placed a lot of leaves on the walkway so taking the wheel barrow around by the rain bines seem to work best.
*picking weeds/crabgrass! and liter
*cleaning out the remaining beds that have last years growth in them still. Keep your eyes open for small seed signs, sticks that are marking a row...... and baby perennials, some folks have started gardening! If there is fencing up, pols, sticks,rocks.... or tomato cages in a garden plot please leave them in theat plot, garden planning is in motion!
Today I am going to pick up some t-pots, rop and mulch to pretty up the perennial beds for MayDay! We will be putting the t-pots and rop up to keep feet off the gardens. I am thinking of keeping them up this year all and maybe winter for the plants don't enjoy being stepped in general :)
