We keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to get into the garden one of these evenings to a little spring cleaning before the Mayday celebration happening this weekend! Though there is cool air and rain brewing in this week we will try to put a couple days on our calendar and do what we can.
Tuesday, April 30th 5- 7 pm
Wednesday, May 1st 5 -7 pm
Thursday, May 2nd possibly if it rained Tuesday and Wednesday. Hours to be determined.
We will be:
*Cleaning up the leaves from the perennials gardens, and plots. Placing them in between the garden and walkway.
*Cleaning out plots. We are waiting to hear back from company on a date with compost delivery.
*We will clean out the compost bins and place aged compost around perennial gardens and in plots
*Pick up liter trash
*Clean out rain-barrels
*Fix rope fencing
We are asking gardeners to pay $20 a plot what they can for the 2019 gardening year. Spring lean up is a good time to do this.
