Covid-19

As a community garden group leasing land through the Minneapolis Garden Lease Program, I anticipate you’re looking forward to the start of the growing season. The current Minnesota Stay at Home Executive Order allows for community gardening, as long as safety guidelines are followed. If possible to delay starting seasonal gardening activities, this is preferable. You are required to follow these guidelines while leasing City-owned lots for gardening this year. A Spanish and Hmong version of these guidelines will also be available soon and emailed to you. Please let me know if you need this document translated into another language and allow 1-2 weeks turnaround time.

Please share the guidelines and this physical distancing poster in English or Spanish (soon to be available in Hmong) with your community gardening group. If you don’t have access to a printer or are not able to share these resources electronically, please reach out to me directly.

You can also visit www.minneapolismn.gov/coronavirus for information on a variety of topics. This page is updated regularly as new information comes in.

Stay healthy and grow good food,
